Following upon the death of her husband, Mr. T. Taylor (of Narooma) in Bega hospital whilst undergoing an operation on the 18th inst., Mrs. Taylor took ill and died on Thursday of last week. Deceased, who was 67 years of age, leaves a daughter, Mrs. Frank Canty.
Mr. and Mrs. G. Luck, of Yarragee, left for Sydney yesterday (Friday). Mr. Luck was a visitor to the Royal Show when it was held in Prince Alfred Park, and with the exception of the year that the influenza was raging, our old friend has not missed an exhibition.

Mr. A. McIntosh, the local agent, reports that he is doing an excellent business in disposing of the Aladdin lamp, the new kerosene light, which is advertised in the “Examiner.” This brilliant light is now being used by almost everyone, who has not already another illuminant installed. Our Shire Councillors have purchased one of these mantle lamps for use at their office.
Mr. H. P. Jeffrey, one of our prominent pig breeders shipped his pure bred Berkshire sow and eight young ones this week for exhibition at the Royal Show.
The death of Mr. Michael Stormon Senr., of Eurobodalla, and one of the pioneers of the Far South Coast, took place on Monday, at the age of 87 years. … Particulars next week.

The special meeting of the Moruya Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd. was convened on Monday night in the Shire Hall. … Mr. R. B. Heffernan (chair) explained that the meeting was called to discuss the best means of bringing the cheese factory up to the standard of the Domestic Industry Act of 1924; Mr. H. J. Thomson referred to the Inspectors who visited here a few months ago. On their report the speaker said that he considered it best to build a new factory. He considered that the business of the meeting was to appoint a committee to go into the details and report to shareholders; Financing the erection of a building and the method of paying off an overdraft was then discussed; Mr. Emmott asked why the present factory had been condemned; The chairman said that the reason was that the walls are of wood and the height of the walls are not up to standard; Messrs. W. Ryan, A. Louttit, J. W. Behringer, A. L. Jeffrey, and J. R. Milne were appointed committee to inquire into the matter of bringing the cheese factory up to the standard of the Dairy Industry Act of 1924.
