Matters industrial have a bright prospect locally. There is a move in mining circles, Mr. A. H. Preddey expects to re-start his “Tuffwood” sawmill next week, and Mr. G. W. Mitchell is having the machinery etc., removed from his Moggendoura mill into Moruya, which is a prognostication that the whir of the circular saw will be heard in town soon.

ARALUEN should be supplied with cheap fruit in years to come, as during the past two months over 1000 fruit trees have been planted there.

THE Secretary Public Works Dept. advises the Hon. Austin Chapman with reference to his representations urging consideration of the proposed Railway route from the tableland to Bateman’s Bay, enclosing letters from E. Lunn, Hon. Secretary of the Bateman’s Bay Progress Association that the matter is receiving consideration.

During the football match at Bateman’s Bay on Sunday Baden Graham met with an extremely nasty accident. Both he and Geo. Grant made to tackle the one man, Graham went low and somehow his head came in contact with Grant’s knee. He was knocked senseless, and had to be carried off. Later it was found that his cheek was broken, and he was immediately brought by special car to Moruya.

WEDDING BELLS. TURNBULL-MILNE. The Presbyterian Church, Moruya was charmingly decorated with clematis, arum lilies, white streamers and bells on Wednesday afternoon (13^th) for the wedding of Isa May Elisabeth, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Milne, of “Mayfield,” Mullenderree, with Syphrene Leslie, third son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Turnbull, of Mullenderree. Rev. J. B. Fulton officiated. … The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in white crepe-de-chine and georgette. She wore a Juliette cap of crossed satin ribbon, and her embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a spray of orange buds. Her shower bouquet of roses and sweet peas was a gift of the bridegroom. The reception was held at the Royal Hotel. Arum lilies and Iceland poppies graced the tables which were laden with the choicest of wines, spirits, sandwiches, cakes and sweets, the whole spread being the dernier cri in the culinary art and reflects infinite credit on the hostess of the Royal – Mrs. R. N. Carden. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a xylonite toilet set and that of the bride to the bridegroom a handsome gold albert.
