Moruya Show 1928

MORUYA A. & P. SOCIETY – The Committee were fortunate in having ideal weather for their 51st annual show, although the second day’s heat kept a large number of people from attending. Owing to the exceptionally dry weather and the heat during the two months just past, the committee realised that most exhibits would suffer in consequence. Household manufacturers, including jams, jellies, pickles and preserves were quite good, while the bread and cakes, sewing and fancy work made a very creditable display.
Poultry judges were Messrs. Beresford and Emmott. Mr. C. Irwin, with 46 points, won the prize for the most successful exhibitor, while Messrs. H. P. Jeffery, D. Irwin, F. Toose, S. Louttit and L. T. Jenner had large and successful entries; The pigs shown were a fine lot, Mr. H. P. Jeffery being the principal exhibitor; The Cattle Dog Section had a fair number and Mr. Milne’s slut won the prize.
