2024 – Another year of show memories!

Many turned up at the 2024 Moruya Show this weekend including MDHS.

Agricultural shows have been and remain an important social and cultural event in regional and local communities across Australia since the early 19th century.  They have a long and colourful history in regional and city communities providing a popular outing where agricultural production and skills are displayed alongside sideshows, show bags and local produce and craft.  Moruya is no exception.

The Eurobodalla Agricultural Show as it is now called is one of the longest running agricultural shows in NSW with the first Moruya Show held in 1874.  The Moruya Show was one of the most important events in the Moruya social calendar in the past and was eagerly anticipated by those preparing for competitions or those attending.
